Nicola D'Ascenzo’s stained glass window, Seven Ages of Man. Treatment required a complete releading of all panals due to extensive surface deflection, caused by metal fatigue and inadequate initial installation. D'Ascenzo's signature sculpted leads, which offer a unique visual affect, were replicated. Optical epoxy and inpainting were employed to conserve original glass pieces where possible. Hand blow sheet glass was sourced and painted to replicate all glass pieces which were beyond repair. In addition, a full replica of the Justice panel was reproduced for the library's private collection.
